SAGACITY FROM AN ACE

 2017, Aug. 19 (Saturday)
Coz it's weekend!

Today, I'm quiet so tired but I'm still blessed because I did great and I felt so greatful for this.
9am in the morning, we started our internship seminar for sea-teachers under the supervision of Ajarn Suwat, Pichy, Sashitorn, and Apichart. They also invited a speaker who are teaching in PNRU for 17 years. He is Sir Gary, a Filipino, and an English teacher who came from Manila, Philippines. I'm so lucky to met him because he is really nice. He is amazing and smart. He actually started to teach in the year 2000 here in Thailand  starting from kindergarten
up to the highest level. He tried alot of things to learn more about language and culture and explore something different in a multicultural environment. He keeps on asking "WHY's" that's why he intended to teach and teach and to know thai students more better. He also shared alot from his experiences specially in terms of teaching methodologies and attitudes of a teacher that we must possessed. It gives us hints on what were going to do when we teach nextweek to our assigned topic. It also followed by an answer and question portion among the sea-teachers and host coordinators. Its really great to be with Sir Gary for his words of wisdom.

Kath, Ace, and I, took the opportunity to know Sir Gary much better and he never failed us for an open conversation.

After that, we ate together for a lunch. Anyways, Ajarn Suwat performed how to cook "Somtam", Thailand's specialty. And after the demonstration we made our own Somtam too. It's very nice.Around 4pm we visited the Future Park, with Pammy our best buddy ever, one of the most enormous mall in bangkok. We just went there for some window shopping and I loved it. So tired back then but I think, it's very productive.

"Teaching is an art and science."
"When you teach the language, you teach the culture.
"Teaching is knowledge and application."
